*0kN - Not PPE*

Non-structural absorber to be used in parallel to a PPE System. Not intended to reduce impact force on marginal anchors.

Recommended Number of Absorbers by Climber Weight:

*This is a very rough estimate for stiffness calibration, assuming falls near the anchor with minimal rope drag. Rope drag will quickly dominate in absorption effects, negating the need for perfect calibration*

Compact (60cm Sling)
-1 Absorber: scenarios with significant rope drag
-2 Absorbers: climber less than 160lb (73kg)
-3 Absorbers: climber greater than 160lb (73kg)

Plush (90cm Sling)
-1 Absorber: scenarios with significant rope drag
-2 Absorbers: climber less than 180lb (82kg)
-3 Absorbers: climber greater than 180lb (82kg)

Paired Gear for Best Absorber Assembly

2x - EDELRID Permalock 2500 Oval Carabiners
1x - Blue Ice Alpine Runner (55cm for Compact Absorber, 90cm for Plush Absorber)

Configuration within a PPE System

Note that the climbing rope should bridge the entire Absorber Assembly and be clipped directly to the anchor using PPE connectors according to manufacturer recommendations
