Back feeding rope is a hidden danger in lead rope solo systems, and can cause much larger-than-expected falls. Use our Soft-Cinch Backfeed Preventers to cinch your rope system tight, and know exactly what size of fall you may be facing.

Designed for easy one handed cinching, these keepers are the perfect companion for managing rope-side slack effortlessly mid-pitch. Enhance your solo climbing today with our Soft-Cinch backfeed keepers!

    Weight: 3g per Soft-Cinch
    Material: Flexible Engineering Grade TPU
    Rope Compatibility: 8mm-11mm
Carabiner Compatibility: Medium to Large Carabiners (must soak in warm water for large carabiner install)
*Does Not Fit on Small Wiregates, such as EDELRID 19g, Camp Nano 22, or BD Mini Wires*

    Key Features:

Our unique design enables you to clip the rope as usual, then cinch it downwards with a simple one-handed motion, ensuring no hidden slack in the rope.

The flexible flaps are engineered for a light yet effective grip. During falls, the natural movement of the rope is unimpeded, ensuring your safety and confidence. A key highlight, the hammer-head flap, is specifically designed to prevent the rope from dislodging from the cincher during falls.

Molded from non-marring white TPU, our keepers are gentle on your rope, prolonging its lifespan without compromising on grip or efficiency.

The 5 pack is a great starter set. Usually they are used every 2-4 meters depending on the terrain, so 5 is enough for most climbing. More shouldn't hurt, but also requires more LRS dedicated quickdraws.

The cinchers fit all mid to large size carabiners regardless of body shape. They are flexible rubber, and form tightly over any carabiner shape, especially with the hot water soak step described in the instructions. An I-beam carabiner does hold the Soft Cinch in place slightly better, though. They are not compatible with the smallest wiregates (BD Minis, Nano 22s, EDELRID 19g...) due to not enough gate clearance.

The rubber devices both should last about a season of heavy LRS use, but are "consumable gear" and do wear out.

The Soft Cinchers should be fairly robust with a light hold, only wearing slightly from the rope movement over time. The Slide Cinchers have a much stronger hold, and thus faster wear - they will "wear in" to your diameter of rope first, and then last a long time as that wear level once set. It is worth noting that the rope movement of a bungee anchor will cause much faster cinch wear.
